Thank you for the prayers

I went on Wednesday to visit my niece. She had the ventilator removed. She was on oxygen and anti-biotics. Because of the mixed medications that was given to Olivia, she had been hallucinating so they gave her doses of morphine to off-set the hallucination's. Weird huh? Anyways, she had her eyes open when I came in. She half smiled and then later I guess the morphine was waring off because she was softly crying. Actually, she was crying for her brother Evan, he is 4 years old. We held up a picture of him and a tear rolled out of her eye.
So we put the picture closer and she kissed him. She would cry when we moved the picture away from her.
Yesterday, she was allowed to see her brother for the first time since the accident,
His first as well.

Well, lets just say a picture is worth a thousand words:)

Here, the oldest cousin Emma, bought nail polish to paint Olivia's hands and feet, she was tickled when she woke to find her toes painted:)

She is drinking juice for the first time today and slowly trying eggs. If she progresses and able to hold food down she will be able to go home on Monday, YEAH! Thank you for your prayers.

Update

Thank you for all your prayers.

Alexis, is still waiting for results. She is at home and a happy camper. She was happy that they did not have to put in an IV this time. She hates needles.

Olivia, however, iron has gone down. So they had to do a blood transfusion. They could not give her iron because it would not process in her system as fast as a blood transfusion. Her lungs are swollen and her airways were blocking so they had to give her doses of steriods. They will need to keep the respirator longer than thought. I will keep you posted.

Please continue the prayers to my nieces. Thank you.

The Pagliasotti Family
Olivia my niece who just turned 2 in March, the youngest and only daughter of my sister Luisa and my brother in law RJ, near drowned yesterday late afternoon. She is in the hospital in NICU. My sister was sitting on the steps yesterday by the pool with her friend Diana and her sister Judy. Olivia was swimming next to Luisa when she removed her floaters and with out a splash sound she sunk to the bottom. My sister has the memory of finding her at the bottom of the pool. Judy immediately started CPR and saved her life. Please pray for my sister Luisa, as I would think would be the hardest memory to live with as a parent to see your daughter go through the trauma and vision of how they found her.
Olivia's 2nd Birthday about to eat her Cupcake.
Pray for Olivia as she is sedated with antibiotics to fight any infection in her lungs and that she does not have Permanent brain damage.
Please watch your little ones by the pool, bath, or even a bucket of water.
PLEASE PRAY for Alexis and her family and Olivia and her family. Thank you.
